Oracle Developer

We are currently seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join a large-scale technology team on an initial 6-month day rate contract.

The successful candidate will work across business-critical systems, focusing on Oracle development, PL/SQL, database optimisation and deployment. This is a hybrid role based in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Oracle database objects, including schemas, procedures, packages, triggers and views.
• Build and enhance complex PL/SQL solutions across multiple applications.
• Analyse and improve database performance, including query tuning and troubleshooting.
• Support database deployments across development, test and production environments.
• Manage release scripts, version-controlled database changes and deployment processes.
• Assist with database administration activities, including security, permissions and environment management.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide effective technical solutions.

Key Skills

• Strong commercial experience working with Oracle databases in development environments.
• Advanced PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong SQL, database design and data modelling knowledge.
• Experience with performance tuning and Oracle query optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL packages, triggers, dynamic SQL, bulk processing and ref cursors.
• Knowledge of Oracle security, schemas, roles, privileges and tablespaces.
• Experience managing database deployments and release processes across multiple environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work across complex, business-critical systems.
